Crystallization and preliminary X-ray crystallographic analysis of plant ferritin from Glycine max The iron storage protein ferritin from soybean (Glycine max) was expressed in E. coli and crystallized using the hanging drop vapor diffusion method with sodium tartrate as the precipitant. The crystals belong to the tetragonal I4122 space group, with unit cell parameters a=b=324.0, c=182.7 Å. The diffraction data were collected up to a resolution of 3.0 Å with a multi-wire area detector
