บทคัดย่อ

Ethyl formate has a long history as a fumigant and space spray. This review outlines its natural occurrence in animal and human foods and in the environment. Information on its hydrolysis products, ethanol and formic acid, is also outlined. The implications of natural levels of ethyl formate and formic acid on the use and regulation of this fumigant are discussed.
