Mango cv. Tommy Atkins fruits harvested 75, 90, 105 or 120 days after the artificial induction of flowering were precooled and stored in a refrigerated room (10 plus or minus 1 deg C and 85% RH) for 15 or 30 days. Another batch of fruits was stored at room temperature (30 plus or minus 0.9 deg C and 60.8 plus or minus 4% RH). During storage in all treatments, weight loss and increases in the total soluble solids content, pH and ratio of total soluble solids/total titratable acidity were observed, while total titratable acidity decreased. Fruit maturation started 105 after days artificial induction of flowering. Refrigeration extended storage life - the storage life of fruits stored at room temperature was about 8 days while that of fruits for 30 days in the refrigerated room was about 35 days.
