บทคัดย่อ

Differences and similarities among branches of the citrus crop system in Sao Paulo (Brazil).

Four basic Citrus production branches were identified in Sao Paulo, Brazil: (a) frozen-concentrated juice, (b) pasteurized orange juice, (c) fresh juice and (d) fresh table fruits. Factors associated with these differences included (1) the overall technology organization related to location and crop growing methods as a function of market characteristics, (2) the strategies of harvesting and postharvest operations linked to product quality and shelf-life requirements, (3) the structure of the production system, composed of branches with different aims, and (4) factors concerning government policies and intervention.
