บทคัดย่อ

Botrytis cinerea: a causal agent of premature flower drop in packaged Geraldton waxflower.

 

B. cinerea was isolated from Chamelaucium uncinatum flowers collected in Queensland and Western Australia. Isolates were pathogenic on the 2 cultivars Herb Morrow and Alba. The flower separated from the pedicel in single cut flowers inoculated with B. cinerea. It is suggested that these results support the hypothesis that infection contributes to premature flower drop in cut, packaged C. uncinatum.
