บทคัดย่อ

Preliminary study of symptoms and pathogen of coloured rice grains.

ABSTRACT :

 

The morphological characteristics and the pathogens occuring on coloured rice samples collected from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, Guangdong, Sichuan, Hubei, Liaoning and Heilongjiang, China, were examined. The diseased rice grains were light brown to black in colour and smaller than disease free grains. A total of 13 species of Curvularia were isolated from those samples. These were: C. lunata [Cochliobolus lunatus], C. geniculata, C. affinis, C. inaequalis, C. intermedia [Cochliobolus intermedius], C. clavata, C. pallescens [Cochliobolus pallescens], C. eragrostidis [Cochliobolus eragrostidis], C. fallax, C. brachyspora, C. oryzae, C. lunata var. aeria and C. ovoideus. Rice plants inoculated with 9 of these species produced 21.7-65.4% coloured rice grains. Mancozeb (70%) gave 69.9% control of the disease.
