บทคัดย่อ

Antifungal activity of n-tributyltin acetate against some common yam rot fungi.

n-Tributyltin acetate (TBTA) was evaluated for control of yam rot. TBTA exhibited a significant effect in vitro and in vivo on 4 yam rot fungal isolates (Aspergillus niger, A. flavus, Penicillium citrinum and Rhizopus stolonifer). However, the in vitro toxicity of TBTA was reduced when 2.5% Tween 80 was used as the solvent instead of 25% acetone. It is concluded that TBTA can prevent the establishment and subsequent growth of commonly isolated yam rot fungi.
