บทคัดย่อ

Calcium treatment of apples and potatoes to reduce postharvest decay.

The effect of increasing the Ca content of potato tubers and apples on postharvest decay is discussed, with notes on the methods of Ca treatment, factors affecting Ca uptake by the tubers/fruits, and the manner in which Ca can reduce the incidence of fungal infection and decay during storage. Treatment with magnesium and strontium are also briefly considered.
