บทคัดย่อ

Postharvest, pre-market and other treatment of root vegetables.

A survey of non-Czechoslovak machinery for handling root vegetables is presented. The survey is divided into postharvest treatment prior to storage; dry soil removal and sorting of fresh produce; soil removal, washing, sorting and packing of fresh produce; soil removal, washing and sorting of fresh produce with subsequent weighing, packing and pricing; and soil removal, washing and peeling in preparation for marketing or further processing. Machines made in Italy, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany and Hungary are described.
