Study on effect of modified atmosphere storage of cut rose (RosahybridaL.cv.Red Gala) by used initial ratio of O2 at 1 % : CO2 at 0.7 % and compared with normal atmosphere storage (O2 21 % : CO2 0.03 % ). All treatments were used along with low temperature storage at 2 °C and 95 % relative humidity. Results revealed that, cut rose that was stored in modified atmosphere had storage life of 35 days. However cut rose that was stored in normal atmosphere had storage life of 7 days. In addition to cut rose that was stored in modified atmosphere after 35 days and held in distilled water at room temperature can had qualities, such as water uptake, fresh weight, chlorophyll content, anthocyanin content and freshness difference significantly with cut rose in normal atmosphere storage.
