Gladious is one of the commercially important agricultural produces in Myanmar. The occurrence of abnormal wilting (steam break) and lower in vase life quality of blooming are still the major problems. Therefore it is necessary to improve the quality and safety of cut gladiolus somehow. Highest total blooming (56.0%) was found in the treatment of vinegar cotton. The highest abnormal wilting of steam break (50%) was observed in water vase solution. In comparison of the vase solutions, vinegar vase solution not only enhanced flower blooming but also minimized the abnormal wilting. The longest shelf life (5 days) was resulted in the treatments of vinegar cotton and vinegar tissue. With the regardless of vase solutions, the lowest water uptake with low abnormal wilting percent was found in the treatment of cotton wool. Among the treatments, the cotton wool with vinegar vase solution was the most effective to keep the vase life quality of gladiolus by suppressing stem break along the experiment.
