Effects of silver thiosulfate and 8-hydroxy chinolin-citrat on vase life of fresh 'Grand Prixe' , roses at 25°C in Science and Research Branches Islamic Azad University during 2005-2006 were investigate. Results showed that STS,8-HQC and interaction effects of these were significant but 8-HQC at 100ppm did not significantly increase the vase life. The solution containing STS at 200 or 300ppm, 8-HQC at 200ppm, Citric Acid at 300ppm and 2% sucrose were extended the longevity of roses up to 5.5 days.
