Aflatoxin contamination in nutmegs was studied to obtain information fro a spot sampling plan for nutmegs. Aflatoxins were not detected in whole nutmegs, but were detected in 7% of ‘shrunked’ nutmegs, especially Siauw. These samples exceeded the maximum allowed amount of AFB1 of 2mg/kg nutmegs.
