Natural occurrence of the C series of fumonisns in moldy corn.

บทคัดย่อ

Forty four mouldy   corn samples were analysed for the B and C series of fumonisins By HPLC. Among the samples, 73% were contaminated with both the B and C series fumonisins and 6 were contaminated with only the B series fumonisins. The incidence of fumonisin C₁ (FC₁) in mouldy corn was 71%; the incidence was 11% for FC₃ and 43% for FC₄. Their mean levels ranged from 500 to 1,900 µg/kg. This is the first report on the natural occurrence of the C series of fumonisins and FB₄ in mouldy corn.
