บทคัดย่อ

Thirty-six samples of twenty-eight species of freshwater fish were examined for the study of the mercury content.Those fishes were collected from the market in Bangkok Metropolitan areas.The result of study of mercury content in freshwater fish ranged from 0.006 to 0.19 ppm.The fish of 0.19 ppm.of mercury level were Clarias batrachus & Clarias macrocephalus.The fish containing minimum mercury concentration was Ctenopharyngodonidellus was 0.66 ppm.Fish ranged from 0.058 – 0.087 ppm. of mercury levels were Johnius saldado, Kryptopterus apogon, Ompokbimaculatus, Ophicephalus lucius, Ophicephalus striatus, Mystus nemerus and Fluta abla.The world standardhas established the mercury content of fresh fish is not more than 0.5 ppm. or 1.0 ppm. according to the country required.So fishes were analyzed the mercury content has shown no danger for human health.
